The disc closes with a piece written for Ben early on in his studies with teacher and mentor Ricky Nye (“Ben’s Blues”).

Ben Levin is an eighteen year old blues & boogie woogie pianist and vocalist from Cincinnati, OH. He is one of only a handful of “fourth generation” boogie woogie musicians in the U.S. Ben started playing professionally at age eleven with his father’s band, The Heaters, and since then has played over 200 gigs in a variety of configurations: with The Heaters, or with his own group, The Ben Levin Trio.

Ben has played prestigious shows such as The Arches Boogie PIano Stage @ Cincinnati, OH’s Cincy Blues Fest, Chicago Blues Fest, Ricky Nye’s Blues & Boogie Piano Summit, Chase Garrett’s Blues & Boogie Woogie Piano Stomp, and The Nineteenth Annual Festival de Boogie Woogie in Laroquebrou, France.

The Ben Levin Duo (with Ricky Nye on drums) was recently selected to represent the Dayton, OH Blues Society in the solo/duo category @ the International Blues Challenge (IBC) to be held January 2018 in Memphis, TN.
